Post from Anywhere to Anywhere on Social Networks

Delivering new content and news updates to all of the different social networks can be tedious. Thankfully there are a few techniques that can be put into place to automate the chore of re-posting digital content on each of the social networks. The answer is that with ping.fm + an rss feed you can feed any RSS and this will then redistribute that info to your Facebook, Twitter, or any number of other social media sites in the form of a “microblog” or “status update.” This is incredibly useful because you can literally automate news updates to these networks from a personal website or blog!

To begin create an RSS feed from the information that you want to blog or tweet about. If you are using information from different sources be sure to aggregate the feeds by using a tool like xfruits.com . Once you have a single RSS feed containing all of the information you want to post head over to ping.fm and create a user account. It is crucial to set up your ping.fm account before moving on because you will need to access that account information later on in the process. The next step is to browse to twitterfeed.com. Create a user account for the website and login. You’ll notice once you get in that you can create a new feed and point it to ping.fm, however… they need additional information from ping.fm in order to complete the sync.

Once you get the feed to ping.fm set up head back to their website so that you can attach the feed to your facebook, and twitter page. To do this you simply sign into your ping.fm account and navigate to the dashboard. All of the available social networking sites are listed in the middle of the page. select the ones you want to auto post to and fill in your user account info for each one respectively. That’s all there is to it! Your automated news feed is set up! It should begin posting instantly.
