Ideas for side income for an NEWLY formed Internet Cafe?
Our new Internet Cafe is slightly struggling to meet bottom line and we are looking for ideas to add some extra income.
I offer tournements with local gamers, but trying to please all pleases noone. Other suggestions are E-Bay Consignment, Beginning Internet/Email Classes. We have 4 terminals w/ internet & games, Full service coffee amenities, food, and drinks. Plus Xbox360/ps2/N64. Even a few hundred dollars could really smooth out our bottom line. Any suggestion welcomed!! PLEASE help keep our (wife and I’s) dream alive!

Sell phone cards and also refer customers to an online affiliate program for making cheap phone calls.

Maybe this is a symptom of your demographics as well. What are the needs of your local community? What skills and services can you offer to clients? Are you good with photoshop? Desktop publishing? Can you make brochures? People are really into photobooks and online photo albums these days. Are you good with layouts and design? I think that you could use these skills to make brochures, websites, photobooks and things like that as a side business. You’d still be able to monitor the Cafe while you did these, too. And, inlucing your NetCafe.com tag on the bottoms of the things make great advertising. What about wireless? Do you offer it? Would you? Also try starting a blog and hooking up a webcam. Good luck!
