I am an independent distributor for a food product that has been reported on by Oprah and Matt Lauer on the Today show. That should tell you that the product is for real. Additionally, the Wall Street Journal has said that this company really has cornered the market. That should tell you the company is legit. The best part is not many people have even heard of (or can pronounce the product). I can tell you first hand that the company treats the distributors very well. I feel like I am in business for myself but not by myself. They have great tools available (for free) to help me build my business. Click on this link to get some additional information. BTW, this link is not my site, it is simply a way for you to also get into the business.
Yes, a good resource for this is:
http://telecommutereview.com
It allows people to review and rate employers, network with other telecommuters and find jobs. There are a lot of scams and poorly designed sites out there for this sort of thing, this site is new but it seems to be the most legitimate.
Yes there are a lot of work from home jobs you just have to find out which one is for you

I know that the real money that is made this way by legitimate people is in medical billing support.
I suggest you look at medical billing companies for their own outsourcing rather than going through some third party who just wants a commission.
Just google for stuff like ‘medical billing work from home’. You will find a lot.
try http://www.sharpearnings.net they list several different companies
This is a site deditacted for new business ideas. There are two categores that might help: homebased business and online jobs.

Depending on your background, you could consider medical transcription, coding or billing. I was a medical transcriptionist working from home.
Many transcriptionists get their training through a course of study while others carry their medical terminology knowledge with them from other health related fields. You would need to get the terminology down, and then get started. Many companies want experience so there’s a catch-22. However, doctors and hospitals may be hiring, and after a time you can work from home as many transcriptionists do.
There’s some excellent information for anyone considering a career in this field in the website listed below. No affiliation with any school or products, just good info, including real job listings in coding, billing, and transcription.
Well there is much work at home opportunities through internet. Please visit the source link to find various links in the additional detail of the question. You will find useful info there. The question has been asked in the yahoo answers itself. You could have used the search feature for that instead of spending your 5 points in asking this question.

If you are an accomplished typist – word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a "certified" graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.
Good luck!
