Since you now live and work in NYC, you have to pay NY and NYC income taxes. You are no longer subject to GA taxes. For the year that you move you will file part year returns for GA and NY listing only the income earned in the respective states. You will also file a part year return for NYC for the period of time you were a resident of NYC.

Where your employer is based is of no consequences.

The place your wages come from is where you will pay your taxes. If they have transferred you then yes you will pay both this year.

You'll pay state taxes based on residency, not based on where your corporate office is at. That means you'll pay GA state up to the time you moved, and NY state from that time forward.
