I’m curretly working temporay service at this factory, but they wont me to cut back from a 80hr and 20hrs in over time to just 80hrs at the lesser 1st shift rate, so i’m wondering is their any "legitmate" ways to make some money on the side.

I work out of our apartment in Manhattan "Telecommuting". Do I need to pay NYC city and state taxes or can I continue to pay Goegia taxes because I am in a home office in New York and my company is based in Atlanta?

I’m studying computer networking, I made my decision after doing extensive research on the profession and reading US Dept. of Labor projections on job growth and availability up till 2014. Aparently this is one of the fastest growing fields in the country, it is also tagged as "in demand" occupation. But I keep running into people that say the cosc jobs are being outsourced to India and other countries. How is that possible? I understand that part of the job is telecommuting, depending on the situation, but how is it possible to maintain hardware from another country? Everyone is talking about cosc going down under, and how it’s horrible because you have to keep getting certifications and keep up your education. I’m just wondering what everyone here thinks about it, or if they have dealt with becoming obsolete in the field. What is really going on???

Hi! I am someone who has just taken about a 4 year rest from the real working world, and am now back to working in a higher stress job than I have had before. I love the job, there is just so much to learn, so many different directions to go in, and I am working from my home office and telecommuting, as well as meeting with clients in their places of business. My workload has skyrocketed over the past few weeks, and so has my blood pressure.

Just some background. I have PTSD, and took the break from full time work due to my body just giving out from stress related illnesses coming out in seizures, panic attacks, and severe hormonal problems with my adrenal gland. I worked from home part time for my own company, taking on about 8-12 hours of work a week the past few years, and had found a good way to work with it was for every hour of work, have an hour of rest, play, exercise, meditation, or talking with a friend. I am trying to do that now as well, but the "down" time is shorter

I am currently seeking employment from 6am -2pm M-F and someone suggested that I try a telecommute job. But, everywhere I look, it seems that all I find are these scams where you have to pay to earn an income or there is no guaranteed salary. I then saw the article on Good Morning America where they stated that there really is such a thing as a " for real" work at home job in the medical coding/billing field. I would be happy even answering phones or doing customer service work. AS LONG AS IT IS LEGITIMATE ! I am a stay at home mom currently running a small at home business and just want to increase my income. When I went to ABCnews.com they did not really give specifics as to where you would go to get legitimate information regarding this subject. Where do you go to find legitimate information regarding this? Does anyone actually do this for real and for what company?

Writing has always been a passion of mine, and I have always excelled in my composition courses.

At the current time, I am attending college, and need some way to finance it. I am noticing several places online that offer to direct me to companies that are seeking freelance writers. However, they all want a considerably large fee, and it makes me leery.

Does anyone know of any organization that hires freelances writers from online–preferably one that does not charge an upfront fee?

(WARNING: Spam me with some "Make ,000 a month in your pajamas" nonsense, and I **WILL** report you!)
